Amanda M. Reed, Esq. is a Partner and Managing Attorney at Reed & Thompson, PLLC, with over eight years of legal experience in trusts and estates. Born and raised in Montoursville, Pennsylvania, Amanda has called Concord home for over 15 years. As a resident and small business owner in our local community, Amanda has a deep understanding of the community’s strengths and challenges. This fuels her passion to give back and ensure a thriving future for Concord and its residents.

Amanda strives to serve the community of Concord through pro bono service, being elected to the North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society every year since 2018. She currently serves as the vice-president of the Cabarrus County Bar Association, instituted and has sponsored the Hometown Hero program with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers since 2020 and serves on the Concord Police Foundation Board of Directors, fostering strong connections with first responders, local organizations, and the Concord community. Amanda also serves as a lead volunteer with the North Carolina Bar Association’s Wills for Heroes program and was recognized by SuperLawyers as a Rising Star for three consecutive years (2022-2024) for her outstanding legal work, advocacy on behalf of her clients, and commitment to the spirit of the legal profession.

While many in the community know Amanda by her “celebrity name,” she is also the proud wife of a Cabarrus County Deputy Sheriff, Deputy William Waters, further strengthening her connection to those who serve. During her time in this role, her love and appreciation for those who serve our community has flourished. When not advocating for her clients, Amanda enjoys DIY projects, reading, and spending time with her husband and their three children – Lillian, Christopher, and Tobias.
